Diperkirakan ribuan pendaftar ikut meramaikan ujian penerimaan calon hakim (cakim) dan calon pegawai negeri sipil (CPNS) di lingkungan Mahkamah Agung (MA) RI di Gedung Pengadilan Tinggi (PT) Sumatera Utara. Para pelamar dari berbagai daerah ini berharap proses seleksinya berlangsung objektif.

Para pelamar yang mendaftar Arif Maulana dan Yuni, berharap proses seleksi menjadi calon hakim dapat berjalan secara objektif dan terbuka. Dijelaskan, meski yang melamar ribuan orang, namun pihaknya akan merasa puas jika pelaksanaannya berlangsung objektif.

“Kami maunya objektif, jangan ada permainan. Karena kami semua yang melamar ini serius mau jadi hakim,” jelas kedua pendaftar yang berharap pihak panitia bisa lebih jujur.
Pria dan wanita lulusan Fakultas Hukum Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (FH-UMSU) ini sudah menantikan pendaftaran ini sejak tahun lalu. Dia mengaku, berkeinginan menjadi hakim karena profesi tersebut kesejahteraannya menjanjikan.
Humas PT Sumut, Prof Jatinar Nababan SH MHum, kepada MedanBisnis, Jumat (16/10) di ruang kerjanya menyatakan, jumlah pendaftar masih dalam tahap penghitungan timnya. “Saat ini sedang disusun berkasnya dan yang saya tahu jumlahnya mencapai seribuan lebih, tapi soal jumlah pastinya kita tunggu Senin ya,” katanya.
Dikatakannya, dengan adanya penerimaan Cakim dan CPNS, tampak antusias para pelamar tahun ini terlihat meningkat dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Berdasarkan estimasi pihaknya sejak pendaftaran dibuka pada 12-15 Oktober, sudah lebih dari 1.000 orang yang mendaftar.
Ditambahkannya, untuk ditempatkan pada 32 provinsi MA membutuhkan 1.701 tenaga pegawai negeri sipil (PNS) yang terdiri dari 366 orang hakim dengan golongan III/a, dan sisanya tenaga administratif berbagai golongan. Untuk calon hakim diwajibkan dari latarbelakang pendidikan sarjana hukum dari berbagai konsentrasi. Sedangkan untuk tenaga administratif kebanyakan jenjang pendidikan yang dibutuhkan SMA.
“Ini prosesnya seleksi pusat, semuanya MA yang menyaringnya. Kami (PT Sumut) hanya sebagai tempat pendaftaran dan pelaksana ujian saja,” jelasnya.
Dia menambahkan, setelah dinyatakan lulus berkas, para pendaftar akan mengikuti ujian tertulis pada 26 Oktober 2009. Setelah lulus ujian tertulis, para pendaftar akan diuji lagi dengan tes bakat skolatik, tes kematangan dan tes kompetensi akademik.
